Conor McGregor reveals ‘the foot is fully healed’ in response to Michael Chandler

Conor McGregor appears ready to make his comeback.

Following an eventful week where he hosted a BKFC press conference, launched a new record label, blasted Jake Paul after his boxing match and apparently fired Mike Perry from his job with the bare-knuckle promotion, the Irish superstar took to Twitter to inform his next opponent that he’s healthy and ready to fight.

The comment came after McGregor posted a video showing him hitting a punching machine with no gloves on and that led to Michael Chandler replying “but show us the bare foot knuckles.” McGregor broke his pinky toe in the weeks leading up to his fight against Chandler at UFC 303 in June, which forced the matchup to be delayed.

“Hey bum beggar — the foot is fully healed,” McGregor wrote in response to Chandler.

Hey bum beggar. The foot is fully healed.

That’s great news for McGregor, who just recently passed the three year mark since his last appearance in the UFC when he suffered a gruesome broken leg in his trilogy against Dustin Poirier.

McGregor underwent surgery shortly after the event but he had a lot of recovery time awaiting him as he looked to bounce back from the devastating injury.

He got matched up with Chandler in early 2023 after they were selected to coach against each other on a season of The Ultimate Fighter but the reality show came and went without a fight being announced.

After getting back into the UFC’s anti-doping program, McGregor was finally cleared to return to the cage until disaster struck with the foot injury he suffered in sparring.

That led to the fight between McGregor and Chandler being postponed.

McGregor previously hinted that he spoke to the UFC about getting a new date on the books, although UFC CEO Dana White denied that he’s started contemplating a potential landing spot for the highly anticipated fight. More than anything, White made it clear that he didn’t want to announce anything until he knew McGregor was 100 percent healthy and ready to go but he hoped for the fight to happen in 2024.

Judging by McGregor’s latest message on Twitter, that might be just the news that White was waiting to hear.
